Sir Alex Ferguson is determined not to see Roy Keane return to Manchester United.
The Daily Mail says Ferguson, now an influential director of the club he managed for 27 years, won't countenance any role for the former midfielder.
Keane, the Republic of Ireland assistant coach, is being linked with a return to United in a similar role.
Ferguson will have a direct involvement in sourcing Moyes' successor and believes either Gary Neville or Ryan Giggs best represent the 'old boy' representation in the next backroom team, with a view to becoming managerial material.
