Barry Ferguson, who was stripped of the Rangers captaincy and suspended without pay following breaches of discipline with the international team, has been linked with a summer move from Ibrox. Speaking after Rangers' 1-0 Homecoming Scottish Cup final win over Falkirk, the 31-year-old told, BBC Scotland: "What happens next? I'm going to go away and enjoy a holiday with my family.
"If that is the end, at least I've come back with my head held high. I made a mistake. I can't turn back the clock."
"I didn't think I would get the chance to play again, but I've come back in the last three games," added Ferguson, who made his first start for Rangers since his suspension.
The midfielder also praised the club's fans for their support following his recent difficulties.
"Last week, especially, the way they treated me when I came on for the last half hour (at Dundee United), meant a lot to me," he said.
He added: "It's great to win a double. It wasn't a great game, but at the end of the day it's all about winning and we've done that."
