Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson is now rapidly recovering from brain surgery a week ago.
Ferguson is now out of intensive care and is undergoing rehabilitation as an in-patient.
The Sunday Mirror says the improvement in his condition could enable him to send a message of support to Jose Mourinho and his squad ahead of their Wembley showdown with Chelsea on Saturday.
The FA Cup was the first of 38 trophies Fergie lifted as United boss, his team beating Crystal Palace in a replay in 1990.
Yesterday Sir Alex son has thanked fans for their support as the Manchester United legend continues his recovery from a brain haemorrahage.
