Everton are set to play a testimonial before the start of the new season for club legend Duncan Ferguson.
La Liga club Villarreal have been chosen as the opponents for the game.
The former Scottish striker, now a member of Roberto Martinez's backroom staff, had two spells covering a decade as a player at Goodison Park, from 1994-98 and then 2000-06.
'Big Dunc' as he is affectionately known, won the 1995 FA Cup with the Merseyside club.
Ferguson, 43, returned to Goodison in 2012 as a coach, and quickly progressed to the job of first team coach in February 2014.
The game is likely to take place on Sunday, August 2.
