Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will play a second-choice eleven in tonight's Carling Cup clash with Wolves.
Players including Darron Gibson, Wes Brown, Gabriel Obertan and Tomasz Kuszczak will all be in the team that hosts Mick McCarthy's Wolves. Ironically, McCarthy will play a second-choice side as well despite being fined for doing the same thing against United last December.
Michael Owen is in doubt due to a groin injury but Ferguson wants to give a chance to those players who are facing the chop at the end of the season, indicating that the players selected will be doing their utmost to impress the boss.
