Rangers captain Barry Ferguson is pleased the transfer window has closed and speculation over his future has ended. The midfielder, 31, was linked with a move to Newcastle last month after the Ibrox club admitted they could be forced to sell one of their top players.
He said: "Like three or four other players at Ibrox, I'm glad the transfer window is shut.
"Nothing happened and I'm happy with that.
"I always wanted to stay - why would I want to move? I have a young family and they are happy and settled here.
"Family comes first and most of the other boys at Rangers feel the same. Everybody wanted to stay.
"We are still in two cups and in with a shout in the league so everybody is happy in the dressing room and settled."
