Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has used the clash with Juventus in Turin in the 1998/99 Champions League as inspiration for Wednesday night's Champions League fixture with Porto.
On that occasion, the Red Devils drew 1-1 with Juve at home but managed to come from 2-0 down in the return leg to eventually win 3-2 and go through to the final; which they also won.
Ferguson remembers the performance of Roy Keane that evening and hopes his team can go out there and emulate his feats.
"It was Roy's greatest moment. He was unbelievable for us that night, though the team also played fantastically well," Ferguson said.
"This is a similair situation to the Juventus tie and we have a lot of players who can step up to the plate.
"We've players who can win the game. Winners, match-winners on the big occasion - and that's really important.
"These players have to remember where they have been in the past, the performances they have produced, and realise they have a great opportunity.
"Their record in this competition over the last two years has been outstanding. Now here against Porto we have to match our expectations and standards, the required standards of Manchester United."
