Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says veteran midfielder Paul Scholes was merely given a day off training today.
The 37-year old was absent from Wednesday's session ahead of tomorrow's Europa League Round of 16 first leg with Athletic Bilbao but Ferguson says there is nothing to be alarmed about.
"He was indoors. Paul and Ryan (Giggs) don't train every day. We give them certain days off.""We just gave him a day off. We gave him a rest," said Ferguson.
