Sir Alex Ferguson believes that Manchester United have been unable to challenge for the title this season due to their inability to turn draws into victories at Old Trafford
United have clearly enjoyed a lot of improvement under Jose Mourinho during the current campaign but despite this fact, the Red Devils are currently only challenging for a place in the top four.
Former United boss Ferguson has given an assessment of United's campaign so far and has explained that the Red Devils drawing seven of their last 11 home matches is the main reason why they are not challenging Chelsea for the title at the moment.
"I get on well with Jose and think he's doing a really good job," the legendary manager told US radio channel SiriusXM FC.
"He's been a bit unlucky actually because there are home games this season they've been absolutely brilliant in but have drawn them.
"If they'd got those wins they deserved they'd be challenging for the league, there's no doubt about that."
