Ferguson not setting Man Utd retirement date

Sir Alex Ferguson has made it clear that he will continue in his current role as manager of Manchester United for as long as he can.

The 70-year old Scotsman has been the United boss for more than 25 years but he has no plans of setting a date for when his career will finish.

"My philosophy is that, for as long as I'm enjoying my job and I'm in good health, I'm going to carry on here," he told FIFA's official website.

"I don't think you can set yourself limits, but nor can you plan too far ahead because you don't know what's going to happen tomorrow.

"The time will come [for me to retire], obviously, but right now it's not something I'm thinking about."
