Ferguson to introduce Man Utd kids during preseason tour

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson plans to introduce more of his youngsters during their preseason tour.

Although England's participation in the European Under-19 finals in Estonia was deemed a potential problem, with three youngsters involved, there are likely to be spaces for several of the club's exciting prospects.

"It's been very difficult trying to gauge what players I can take on the tour because I want to represent us in the proper way," explained the boss to MUTV. "When we go to the Far East in particular, we have such a great fan-base over there and we don't want to let them down.

"We should have a good group of players going on tour. Obviously the players who played in the European Championship won't be involved [except Anders Lindegaard] and Ryan Giggs and Tom Cleverley won't be involved because they're at the Olympics.

"But, other than that, we have Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick, Chicharito, Antonio Valencia… so we have a good standard of players going out there."
