Sir Alex Ferguson insists he had no say in the sacking of David Moyes by Manchester United.
In a book promotion Q&A, Ferguson said he had no role in Moyes's dismissal last March, nor in the choice of Louis van Gaal to succeed him.
"When I was manager it was right for me to have a say in that sort of thing," he insisted. "It was quite right the directors asked my advice. After I left, it was Ed Woodward [the United executive vice chairman's] responsibility."
