Ferguson insists Man Utd squad good enough to handle injury crisis

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson insists his current squad is deep enough to handle their spate of injuries.

Fergie insists he still has enough in reserve to see them through and will not be diving into a New Year spending frenzy.

He said: "I think it's how you handle the situation. We're not panicking. We've got enough experience in the staff to cope with these things.

"We know it happens and there's no point crying about it. You just get on with it, there's nothing else you can do.

"You've got injuries, deal with it. As long as we don't get any more, I think we're capable of getting through it.

"We've got players capable of wearing the red jersey and they'll wear it with complete confidence they can do well.

"We have enough players who have experienced what's going to happen in the next few months anyway and they will be important."
