Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson hailed his matchwinner Carlos Tevez after their 1-0 victory over Birmingham City.
As for his contribution since his arrival from West Ham in the summer, Ferguson said: "He's been excellent, we're really pleased. And he's scored lots of goals.
"He has a fantastic appetite for his football which is a great quality to have. You can see when he's not got the ball, he's after it like a bloody terrier!
"He's really endeared himself to the players and the fans - they know they've got someone who will try his heart out."
Even after injuring an ankle in the first-half, he would not come off and fought on to the 71st minute. Only then did Louis Saha get his chance off the bench.
Tevez, though, had to be helped from the arena at the end of the game and will probably miss Saturday's FA Cup game at Aston Villa.
