Ravel Morrison reckons he is not a trouble maker and is merely 'misunderstood'.
The 22-year-old midfielder has experienced a faltering career in professional football so far after starting with Manchester United's youth academy back in 2009.
Now with Italian club Lazio, Morrison has revealed that he was given too many chances by Sir Alex Ferguson at United and acknowledges he should have been focusing more on his football rather than outside activities.
"I'm not trouble. I'm just misunderstood," the former West Ham United and QPR man told The Sun.
"When people think of my name, they think, 'He's young and trouble'. That is what's labelled over my name - trouble.
"I truly regret what I did but people won't let me move on. They don't talk about my football but focus on my past problems."
When quizzed on his premature end to life as a United player, Morrison added: "No, I have to be honest about this. Manchester United and Alex Ferguson gave me too many chances.
"I don't think they would have given any other player the amount of opportunities they gave me. I can only blame myself and not look for excuses.
"A lot of the things I did wrong at United was silly stuff.
"It wasn't because I was involved in robberies.
"It was more messing about playing computer games and hanging out too much with my friends when I should have been more dedicated to training."
