Ferguson fighting for job at Peterborough

Darren Ferguson is fighting for his future at Peterborough United.

The Mirror says Ferguson was called to a summit with his Peterborough United bosses last night as fears astonishingly grew that he would be sacked.

The son of Manchester United chief Sir Alex Ferguson has seen Posh get off to a poor start to the Championship campaign, losing at home to rivals Barnsley at the weekend.

And despite two successive promotions the young Scot is now feeling the heat - with ambitious chairman Darragh MacAnthony having talks with him about the future in a showdown meeting.

Ferguson junior was at a coaching course yesterday but then had to dash to learn his fate in a move that will surprise many in the game.
