Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits he's been disappointed with their creativity in recent games.
For tomorrow's clash with Hull City, Fergie wants a swift reverse of the form that has seen two defeats in three games by Villa and Fulham and a slide to four points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea.
The Scot said: "The Villa game was a big disappointment. We made enough chances to win it. It was the killer for us in December.
"Winning your home games can stabilise things when you lose away. But it's proving a difficult league, as we saw against Fulham. We have to make sure we're better attacking-wise than against Fulham.
"We did not create a lot of chances in that match, even though we had a lot of possession.
"We have to get that back, the creation and imagination in our play."
While Ferguson does not know when Rio Ferdinand will return, he is hopeful of having Jonny Evans, John O'Shea and Nemanja Vidic fit for the New Year.
He added: "What we have to do now is get Hull and Wigan out of the way. Then by the time of the FA Cup tie against Leeds, I'm hoping to have three centre-backs back. We can kick on and be our normal selves again."
