After Wayne Rooney scored his 30th goal for the season in all competitions on Wednesday night, Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted.
The 24-year old striker has flourished this season and is now only 12 goals away from Cristiano Ronaldo's tally of 42 which he achieved in 2007/08.
Ferguson said he wasn't sure if Rooney could get there but was beaming to hear that he had hit the 30 mark.
"It's a challenge," Ferguson told ITV. "I was happy with him getting to the 30 mark, to be honest.
"But he just keeps improving and tonight he was sensational."
