Ferguson to continue identifying young talent at Man Utd

Sir Alex Ferguson insists Manchester United will not shy away from identifying and purchasing promising young players.

The Red Devils have recently brought the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and Javier Hernandez to Old Trafford from other clubs at a young age and all have flourished in the famous red shirt of United.

Ferguson knows very well that the club has a knack for bringing in players with plenty of scope and says he plans to continue in that vein.

"What we are good at is bringing young players to the club, like Chicharito (Hernandez)," he said.

"If you look at the last six years, we've brought through young players like Ronaldo and Nani.

"We're good at that and I don't think we should change what we're good at. When we identify the right young players, that's the way we'll go."

The comments from Fergie come as United are heavily linked with Everton young gun Jack Rodwell who is being tipped to follow in the footsteps of Wayne Rooney and depart Goodison Park for the hallowed turf.
