Ferguson adamant Man Utd kids are good enough

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has reaffirmed his belief that his squad's young players are good enough.

Ferguson says United will once again be leading contenders for the Premier League title this season, even though he has added only Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez to the squad that finished second to Chelsea in May.

"I think we have an outstanding chance because what people are not recognising in Manchester United at the moment is the developing nature of the team," he said.

"The younger players coming through, who have been at the club for maybe two or three years, are now starting to emerge and will become very good players."
