Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes Tottenham have the edge on Manchester City and Aston Villa for a Champions League place. The United boss told the Daily Star: "Looking at the teams who are going for that No.4 spot, I believe Spurs have a great chance.
"What they don't have at the moment is that consistency a team has when they know they are going to be challenging for leagues.
"But you see sudden bursts of form - like the 9-1 win against Wigan, which was amazing.
"Harry's experience is important. He has his centre of midfield settled with Tom Huddlestone and Wilson Palacios.
"But the area he is probably most concerned about is the centre of the defence because of the injuries with Ledley King, Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Dawson."
