Rio Ferdinand is ready to sign a new deal with Manchester United. The Daily Star says he has been made several lucrative offers from clubs in the Middle East, MLS and China that could TREBLE his wages to a staggering £300,000 a week.

But Ferdinand will open talks with United bosses before the end of this month in the hope of signing a new deal with the Premier League leaders.

It is understood Ferdinand is even willing to accept a significant wage cut in return for being given the chance to help United win more silverware.

The club are not willing to match his current £110,000-a-week wages but Ferdinand is open to offers in the region of around £60,000 a week.
