The Daily Star says Ferdinand has asked David Beckham for advice about ending his career in America's MLS.
The Manchester United star is leaving Old Trafford on a free transfer after failing to secure a new deal.
It is understood at least two clubs in the MLS are keen to lure the former England captain across the Atlantic.
