Rio Ferdinand insists the squad had no issues with Cristiano Ronaldo's protracted transfer speculation during the summer. The 23 year old star is now back in the team after an ankle injury and Ferdinand says the United players were happy to welcome Ronaldo back into the fold.
"I was speaking to him in the summer all the time anyway and I gave him my point of view and told him what I think," Ferdinand told Sky Sports News.
"We spoke about a lot of things and the lads were happy to see him come back.
"If he was a different kind of person or if he was a different character and someone who didn't really get on with the lads, maybe a bit of a recluse, it might have been different.
"But he's a good lad, he gets on with all the lads in the changing rooms and we enjoy his company, just like he enjoys ours, so there were no problems when he walked back through the doors."
