Rio Ferdinand says the return to action of Cristiano Ronaldo has lifted everyone at Manchester United.

"It gave everyone a lift to see Cristiano coming on," said Ferdinand. "The way he was received by the fans was brilliant as well.

"They showed their desire to see him at the club and are happy to see him in a red shirt again. We know what he is capable of and everyone else does as well."
