Rio Ferdinand suggests Manchester United would be mad not to go after John Stones.
The Everton youngster is the hottest central defensive property in English football right now and attracting plenty of interest from Chelsea who have failed in two bids of more than £20million.
Regarding the 21-year-old England international, former Red Devils star Ferdinand has urged his former club to make a move for his services as it would serve them well for the future.
Speaking a BT Sport media event, Ferdinand said: “I'd buy John Stones if I'm Man Utd.
“You're buying someone who's going to give you 10 years service. He's a great prospect, the best young centre-half in the country at the moment.
“It's a no-brainer for me."
