Ferdinand: I cannot say if LVG will be at Man Utd next season

Rio Ferdinand has no idea whether or not Manchester United will dispense with the services of manager Louis van Gaal at the end of the season.

United have endured another subpar campaign under van Gaal but the Dutchman is defiantly adamant that he will be continuing on as manager beyond the end of the current campaign.

It is believed that the United hierarchy will be discussing van Gaal's position following the FA Cup final and former defender Ferdinand has admitted that he has no idea whether or not the Red Devils will persist with the underperforming 64-year-old.

"I'm not the man to answer that question. I'm not the CEO," Ferdinand told the Daily Telegraph.

"I think Ed Woodward and his team of people around him will be the people that ultimately decide that. What was his remit when he went there? When that is established, you can say whether it's a good or bad season."
