Rio Ferdinand expects everything to click for Manchester United in the New Year.
Even though United have shown alarming signs of frailties at times this season, they still remain the only unbeaten side in the country and have yet to hit top gear.
Ferdinand said: "There are more teams that are better equipped to play against the top two teams, whether it was us and Arsenal a few years ago, or it's been us and Chelsea more recently.
"Now there are far more teams that can beat each other in this league so it's not getting any easier. "Every league poses different problems so it's not that this year is the toughest league to win.
"I remember we were 12 points behind Arsenal one year and we came back to win the league so that was a difficult season for us.
"The league doesn't really take proper shape until after January and the rush of games over the Christmas period, so we'll see where we are at then and take it from there."
