Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand expects Shinji Kagawa to make a big impact.

The former Borussia Dortmund has caught the eye of teammates in preseason.

Ferdinand said: "Kagawa is a really intelligent player and I think he'll surprise a lot of people this year because they don't know too much about him.

"He's talented, intelligent, he see s a pass and I think he'll integrate very, very well into our squad."
