FC Twente midfielder Leroy Fer is gutted to miss out on a move to Everton.

Fer says he was prepared to take pay-cut to see the transfer happen.

"Everyone has done everything to complete this transfer. Rob Jansen, my father, my friends, everybody showed good will in trying to get this thing complete. I was even prepared financially to consider something radical to fix the problem," said Fer.

Twente have refused to do business with Everton after the Blues tried to restructure the deal due to Fer fitness concerns.
