Fenerbahce plotting approach for Man Utd midfielder Mata

Turkish giants Fenerbahce are considering a swoop for Manchester United's Juan Mata, according to reports from Milliyet.

The future of Mata at United has been put into question ever since Jose Mourinho was appointed as manager of the Red Devils and to cast further doubts regarding the Spaniard's future at Old Trafford, he was embarrassingly subbed off during the Community Shield encounter against Leicester City last weekend – despite coming on as a sub himself.

There are a number of teams that are keen on signing Mata and now according to report sin Turkey, claims have been made that the 28-year-old could be subject to a £20million approach from Fenerbahce.

Everton are also keen on former Chelsea midfielder Mata but Fener are reportedly willing to splash the cash to lure him to Istanbul.
