Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is the subject of interest from Fenerbahce according to reports.

La Gazzetta dello Sport is of the belief that the Turkish club is in talks with the Dutch striker who is being heavily linked with an Old Trafford exit this summer.

Italian club AS Roma have given up hope of signing van Persie while Galatasaray have baulked at his wage demands, leaving Fenerbahce free to go after the former Arsenal captain.

Van Persie struggled for form and fitness in Louis van Gaal's first season as United boss but still managed to score 10 goals in 27 Premier League appearances.
