Marouane Fellaini feels it is vital that Everton dip into the bank this summer in order to strengthen their squad.
The Toffees were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday, ending any hopes of winning silverware this season, and Fellaini wants a few new additions to help the club become more competitive.
"But I'd like us to be stronger and be more competitive than we have. I hope the chairman (Bill Kenwright) will be able to loosen the purse-strings this summer.""Our cup run has stopped but we can be satisfied with how far we got," said the Belgian.
