Former Everton midfielder Peter Reid believes that Marouane Fellaini is becoming the club's new go-to man as Tim Cahill starts to slip into the background.
The Australian international is a shadow of his former self at present and although Reid still feels he has plenty to offer, he is of the belief that the 24-year old Belgian midfielder is becoming the Toffees' new key man.
"He's a different type of player to when he first joined. This is a backhanded compliment, if you like, but he is one of those players where you realise how important they are when they are not there.""I don't think Tim Cahill is finished, not by a long way, but he has been less effective over the last year, and Fellaini has come into his own in that time," Reid told the Liverpool Echo.
This used to be the same for Cahill but unfortunately the Socceroos ace is nowhere near as dangerous as he once was, highlighted by his goal tally for this Premier League season which is just one from 26 appearances.
