Dias Felipe was desperate to quit crisis club Parma.
The defender had his contract terminated over unpaid wages.
"I'd love to go back to Udine," he told Messaggero Veneto newspaper. "On my free days, I always went back to the Friuli area.
"It doesn't just depend on me, of course. If President Pozzo were to call, I'd be straight at his disposal."
He added: "The situation had become absurd and I was no longer able to put up with it. I am not just referring to the economic situation, even if that was relevant, but to the promises that were made to us from June onwards.
"We haven't even worked out who owns the club. For example, I signed the contract termination with the secretary general. The President didn't even turn up."
