Fed-up Chelsea chiefs deliver 4-point ultimatum to Diego Costa

Chelsea chiefs have delivered a four-point ultimatum to Diego Costa today if he is to get his wish and be sold to Atletico Madrid.

The Sun says Costa has instead spent the summer training alone on Brazilian beaches

The Blues want the striker to do the following before they will flog him to Atletico Madrid.

  • He must return to Cobham.
  • Costa must begin training.
  • He must prove his match fitness.
  • And Costa must put himself into contention for a first-team place.

Chelsea have also contested the forward's claims he is being forced to train with the reserves.

The Blues can also continue fining him indefinitely until he returns after breaching their code of conduct.

He has been told every time he misses a game, he will be stung with a two-week wage hit, essentially meaning they will have to pay him again.
