Bayern Munich's players would hold their own training sessions without former coach Carlo Ancelotti, it has been revealed.
Kicker says a number of players complained that the squad should be training harder with some even taking upon themselves to do extra work in private, behind the coach's back.
Bayern chief Uli Hoeness would also receive a heated phonecall from Franck Ribéry every time he was taken off in a match while many had moaned about the breezy, unchallenging nature of Ancelotti's training sessions to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge at the start of the season.
The most scathing criticism came from Arjen Robben. The Dutch winger refused to give his support to former Real Madrid coach Ancelotti after the PSG defeat and in today's Kicker a new detail emerged about his spats with the coach.
According to the magazine, Robben would routinely criticize Ancelotti's training sessions, saying that they were less strenuous than the ones his son has to do with his school team.
