Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has been rebuked by club powerbrokers in recent days.

Diario Sport says Pique's criticism of the club's transfer policy and the sale of Neymar to PSG has angered many inside the boardroom, convinced he's pushing a personal agenda.

Barca coach Ernesto Valverde has attempted to persuade Pique to reign himself in, but his pleas have been ignored.

Instead, Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu and sports director Robert Fernandez have both spoken face-to-face with Pique about his outspokenness.

As has new GM Pep Segura, who significantly criticised Pique for his performance in Sunday's Supercopa defeat to Real Madrid.
