Fed up Chalali lashes out at Aberdeen boss Brown

Mohamed Chalali's future at Aberdeen is now in question after he slammed manager Craig Brown for leaving him out of the team on the weekend.

The 22-year old striker was called up to the Algerian senior side last week for the first time for an Africa Cup qualifier against Gambia and was told he would come off the bench for the weekend's meeting with Celtic.

But Chalali, who has been sparingly used recently, was an unused sub and he has since hit out at Brown for the treatment he has received.

"The situation does not satisfy me," he said.

"I feel there are things happening behind my back and I do not like it.

"I don't know what's happened. The manager told me before the match against Celtic that I would be on the bench because of the long journey I had with Algeria.

"I wasn't convinced by that explanation.

"I know I belong in the Aberdeen team and it is for reasons outside of football that I have not been playing.

"My contract is ending and I think that maybe I don't play because of this reason.

"The manager doesn't see fit to play me because he thinks I'll be away next season.

"I try to stay calm and I will train as hard as possible to show the manager that I really want to play.

"I'll be professional until the end of the season and then we'll see what happens."
