FC Zurich striker Raphael Dwamena a target for Brighton

FC Zurich striker Raphael Dwamena is a target for Brighton.

The Daily Mail says Brighton are in talks to sign exciting Zurich striker Dwamena as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the Premier League kick-off.

Manager Chris Hughton is pushing to add a striker with the promising Dwamena firmly in his sights.

Brighton have had a £8 million bid turned down for the 21-year-old though are formulating a fresh offer.

Dwamena is another product of the Red Bull Ghana development programme and the Red Bull Salzburg academy.

He only moved to Zurich in January for £250,000 but scored 14 goals in 18 games while he has two goals in three internationals for Ghana.

Zurich have turned down Brighton's opening offers but Hughton remains hopeful of a breakthrough.
