FC Utrecht's Oar eager for continued improvement

Tommy Oar is determined to continue his rapid improvement for both club and country.

The FC Utrecht winger was a part of the Australian side which recently qualified for the 2014 World Cup and is now looking to put his best foot forward for his Dutch club ahead of the finals in Brazil next year.

"The most important thing was that we qualified, that's what we all craved for and on a personal more I guess I was satisfied with how it went but you always want to do better," he said of the Socceroos.

"I am still improving and adding more to my game at both club and country level - it's been a pretty brief break from football but I am ready to go again and qualifying for the main draw (of the Europa League) is a huge priority for the club.

"If we get through this then we're into the final round of qualifying, so it's pretty important."

Utrecht take on Luxembourg outfit Differdange 03 in the first leg of the second round of Europa League qualifying on Thursday.
