FC Utrecht midfielder Jens Toornstra has shrugged off talk of a late move to Aston Villa last week.

Toornstra was linked with a deadline day switch to Villa Park, but nothing eventuated.

"That kind of rumour is always there. But I have not heard anything. So it seems that nothing has actually happened," the 25-year-old told NUsport.
