FC Utrecht interested in teeing up partnership with Brisbane Roar

Dutch club FC Utrecht are reportedly interested in buying a stake of A-League outfit Brisbane Roar.

The two clubs already have a relationship after Utrecht, who play in Holland's Eredivisie (first division), bought young Roar trio Tommy Oar, Michael Zullo and Adam Sarota earlier this year and now they want to become more involved with Queensland's biggest club.

Utrecht are keen to establish a feeder club-type situation in which players showing ability at a young age in Brisbane can go and further their development in Holland whilst Utrecht players unable to gain regular game time will come the other way and play for the Roar.

It is believed that Roar directors will only consider Utrecht's offer if the Dutch club don't push for majority ownership.
