FC Twente winger Oussama Assaidi has spoken of his struggles at Liverpool.

Assaidi signed for the Reds from SC Heerenveen in 2012, but admits he wasn't up to the level required.

"I enjoyed Anfield every minute, played with big football players, Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho, Steven Gerrard, and I did not think I could handle the level," he told Voetbal International.

"Only, at such a large club you have to play well from the start. Jordan Henderson was bought for twenty million euros from Sunderland, then he was someone in England, I came from the unknown Heerenveen for four million and that was the difference."
