FC Twente striker Nikita Rukavytsya is a big chance of making Australia's final 23 for next month's World Cup according to Socceroos boss Pim Verbeek.
The 22-year old former Perth Glory man, who is currently on loan to Belgian club KSV Roeselare, has the right attributes to be a wildcard to go to South Africa and Verbeek has made it no secret that he is a fan of the Ukraine-born goalscorer.
"He's a player who can bring something special," Verbeek said of Rukavytsya.
"I think he is a big chance to be in the final 23.
"I can understand here (in Australia) that Belgium football is not on the television but I can promise you he's doing well.
"He's very well respected in Belgium football.
"He's scoring goals, he's very fast and he's working 90 minutes, and that's the kind of player we need at the World Cup."
