FC Twente president Munsterman: Why would McClaren leave us for West Ham?

FC Twente president Joop Munsterman is confident of keeping hold of coach Steve McClaren.

McClaren has been linked with West Ham United.

But Munsterman told the Daily Mail: "I've heard nothing. We will see. We've never panicked. My ultimate wish is to have a manager who would stay for 10 or 15 years like at Manchester United and Arsenal.

"I hope Steve will stay for years. But will he? He is very relaxed. If Manchester United comes in and offers him, what can you do?

"I don't have this feeling. He is already working on next season here, he is so eager about the Champions League already.

"What's he going to do at West Ham United? Finish 16th? Or will he play in Europe, perhaps against Barcelona? My feeling is he wants to be at the top level and that is the Champions League."
