FC Twente defender Douglas is ready to move to Newcastle United - but hopes manager Alan Pardew can stay patient.

TC Tubantia says Douglas is eager to make a switch to the Premier League, but wants to delay it until the final days of August.

Douglas needs to wait until the final weeks of the summer market in order to qualify for a Dutch passport and therefore qualify for the Holland national team.
