FC Twente coach Steve McClaren has no plans of returning to England anytime soon.

The former Middlesbrough and England manager has guided his club to the top of the Dutch league.

He told The Sun: "At the moment everything is going well and I'm enjoying myself again. The people here have been very good to me.

"But I know the fickleness of football. If we lose two or three those fans will want to send me on a ship back to England. I've no idea if I'll ever go back to coaching in England. I've long since stopped planning my career in terms of 'I'd like to do this or that.'

"I'm just enjoying the opportunity to do what I think I do best, which is managing a football team.

"The pressure to do well is always there, but that's a pressure that comes from within.

"I live in Holland but get home as often as I can and my family come over here a couple of days every fortnight.

"Amsterdam to Teesside is quite an easy journey and everything is working out quite well."
