FC Seoul require luck against Gamba Osaka to progress in ACL

FC Seoul require a decent dose of luck to progress further in the Asian Champions League.

The Korean club are up against reigning Asian champions and the currently undefeated Gamba Osaka which makes their plight of needing a win considerably more difficult.

Doulbe that with the fact that they need Shandong Luneng to lose to the winless Sriwijaya and the odds are definitely stacked up against the capital club.

Seoul coach Senol Gunes knows his team faces tough test but is hopeful of getting a positive result.

Shandong's result is important, but the more important thing for us is to win our game," said Gunes.

"You never know what's going to happen in football."

Some good news for Seoul is that Gamba Osaka coach Akira Nishino plans to play some inexperienced players although he is not treating the match as one that does not count.

"This is a good opportunity for our younger players who have been on bench to start the game," said Nishino.

"It's not because I want to rest some of our regular players. This is not a game that does not count for us."

Gamba will also be without Japanese midfielder Yasuhito Endo and Brazilian Lucas due to suspension.
