FC Seoul coach Senol Gunes has rued the missed opportunity in his side's 1-1 draw with Shandong Luneng.

The Korean club needed a win to increase their chances of progressing to the round of 16 and had many opportunities to go ahead 2-0 after scoring a first half goal.

However, they let Shandong back into the game and missed out on an important three points.

"We played well," Gunes said.

"They had to defend most of the time and we had no luck at all.

"I think we played well. We prepared 100% for this game. We made a few mistakes but we clearly controlled the game.

"It is true that our chances of reaching the last 16 have lessened because of tonight's result but there is still much to play for," he added.

"There are still two games remaining in the group and we will do all we can to take the opportunities that we have left."
